After two years of celebrating the Provincial Nutrition Month online due to the pandemic, the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), together with the day care workers from the different municipalities, proud parents, and talented children celebrate this year’s nutrition month in person, with the theme “New Normal “New Normal Nutrition, Together Work on Solutions.” at the Lou-is Restaurant, July 29.
A parent and child tandem represented each municipality in showcasing their talent in singing songs related to the theme of the celebration. Also present at the said celebration was Vice Governor Cris Garcia who encouraged everyone to shift into a healthy lifestyle to avoid serious illnesses that may occur in the coming years.
In relation to what Vice Governor Garcia mentioned, Governor Joet Garcia briefly discussed the importance of the Universal Health Care (UHC) law which is one of the keys to achieving a healthy lifestyle; as well as the importance of the Educhild program that is currently being launched in different parts of Bataan.
Governor Garcia is hopeful that through programs and celebrations of this nature, with the support and cooperation of the day care workers, parents, and children, we can successfully promote and ultimately achieve healthier communities all over the province.
